1. Transportation Nouns

   • We can join two words to make a new noun
     • A compound noun can be two words or one word
       • bus + stop= bus stop
       • air + port= airport

2. Comparatives and superlatives

   • Comparative
     • Form
       • For most one- syllable adjectives, we add -er-
         • fast -> faster
       • For most adjectives that have two or more syllables we use: more + adjective
         • expensive -> more expensive
     • Spelling rules
       • For adjectives that end in -e-, we just add -r-
         • nice->nicer
       • For adjectives that ended in -y-, we change the -y- to i and add -er-
         • busy->busier
       • For one-syllable adjectives that ended in consonant-vowel-consonant
         • Double the final consonant
           • Do not double w, x or y
             • slow->slower
           • big->bigger
