COMPARATIVES ADJETIVES
are used to compare two people, animals, things, places, etc. The first thing we need is to know what we refer to when we talk about comparison. The following example will help you understand.
Long Adjective
- We use the long form when adjectives have two or more syllables, i.e. they are long adjectives. To do this we add the particle 'more' before the adjective
- The structure is: more + adjetive + (than)
- 1.-She is more beautiful than her s 2.-I am more intelligent than you. 3.- His car is more expensive than my car.

Short Adjetive
- We use the short form when adjectives have a syllable, i.e. they are short adjectives. In addition, we must remember that adjectives that have two syllables but end in 'y' are also considered short. To form it we must add '-er' to the adjective.
- The structure is: adjetive with -er + (than)
- 1.-Tea is cheaper than champagne. 2.--I am taller than my bothers 3.-We are smarter than they.

- Adjectives you end up with Y are changed to Y for i + er

As_As
- We use as + adjective + as to make comparisons when the things we are comparing are equal in some way
- The structure is: as + adjetive + as
- 1.-Danny is as clever as Jane. 2.-The pen is as small as the ruler. 3.-Today is just as hot as yesterday

Irregular adjectives
- However, an important aspect is that, as in Spanish, there are comparative adjectives that form irregularly. There are only three important ones (good > better, bad > worse, far > further-farther).
- 1.-Summer is better than winter. 2.-Your cellphone is WORSE THAN mine. 3.-My new job is farther than the previous I had
