2. Peer education is attributed to a series of student groups in which cooperative work is favored to improve coexistence.

3. These groups have various intentions that go beyond mere instruction and are situated in the field of personal and social development of individuals.

   • They are articulated around four major fields of educational intervention.
     • a cooperative vision of the general welfare of the school.
       • an implementation of social skills that improve the self-esteem of the participating students and model behaviors and ways of proceeding for the entire educational community.
         • a procedural development of conflict resolution techniques in day-to-day life in schools and, finally, participation in the educational community that is linked to education for citizenship.

4. Peer learning constitutes a mutual learning process.
