Layers of the atmosphere

1. The exospehere

   • has a very low concentration of gases.

2. The thermosphere

   • absorbs the most powerful radiation from the Sun, such as X-rays.

3. The mesosphere

   • When small meteorites break up in the thermosphere, shooting stars appear in the mesosphere.

4. The stratosphere

   • Temperatures increase as the altitude increases.

5. The troposphere

   • This is where we find ideal conditions for life
