     • In active sentences with this meaning an object goes between catch and verb+ing

       • The police catch a lot of people shoplifting
     • PASSIVE
       • S+GET CAUGHT+ VERB+ING
         • A lot of people get caught shoplifting
   • People use the passive much more frequently in speaking than in writing
