   • Lady Macbeth is washing the carpet whilst the doctor and neighbour watch on
     • The neighbour talks about her relationship with the couple (Macbeth and Lady Macbeth) and how it has changed recently. Ever since she started having an affair with Enrique, she hasn't been the same.
       • Doctor: For days I have watched her complete the same routine over and over again but she has never spoken what you have claimed.
         • Lady Macbeth talks about how her carpet is covered in wine and how all the detergents in the world could not remove it from sight and all the fragrances couldn't remove its smell. If only I (Lady Macbeth) had stayed loyal to my husband and not cheat - reveals secret
           • Doctor: In all my years I have never seen anyone regret their sins so badly. This I cannot treat with medicine, this can only be treated with a dose of the truth. Leave now neighbour, you have heard too much. Those who drink from the chalice of love must always fear its poisonous touch
