Quantitative Desings

1. Descriptive Research

   • is used to understand a phenomenon, a situation, or a population
   • It does not involve the manipulation of certain variables.
   • The analysis and synthesis of the data provide the test of the hypothesis.
   • These research projects are designed to provide systematic information about a phenomenon.

2. Quasi-Experimental Research

   • is often employed when true experiments cannot be carried out due to practical or ethical reasons
   • it has a higher external validity than most true experiments

3. Correlational Research

   • Is a non-experimental research method used to identify a relationship between two variables with no influence from any extraneous variable.
   • The correlation between the two variables will reflect the direction and/or strength of their relationship
   • recognize trends and patterns in data, but it does not go so far in its analysis to prove causes for these observed patterns.

4. Experimental Research

   • nown as true experimentation
   • This is done by manipulating the independent variable to study its effects on the dependent variable
   • This is done by manipulating the independent variable to study its effects on the dependent variable
