I am in History 301 which covers the Gilded Age of Farmington (ab 1875-1900). My topic for my research project is education in Farmington during this time period and I am focusing on Miss Porter's School. This mind map will definitely be helpful in organizing my information.

      • Up until 1847, Miss Porter educated her girls in the historic "stone store" located on Main Street in Farmington. She rented out an upstairs room and taught them there until the building funded by the Farmington Female Seminary Association was completed.
