   • Rumination/regurgitation in buccal (mouth)
   • Mixing in rumen
   • Passage in omasum
   • Honeycomb texture & most cranial
   • Hardware Disease

2. Rumen (80%)

   • Wide, flat papillae
   • Absorption
   • No enzyme secreted; but mucous secretion

3. Omasum (7-8%)

   • Absorption of water, VFA, Na&K
   • decrease net volume moving to abomasum
   • more developed in cattle than sheep

4. Absomasum

   • "true stomach" where the acid is

5. Esophagus --> Rumen --> Esophagus --> Reticulum --> Omasum --> Abomasum
