1. TEXT - can be formatted using the font options provided by the package.

2. ANIMATION - features allowed to use: add moving images, create a path for objects when they enter or leave a slide, add effects (e.g ''fly in'')

3. Predefined SLIDE LAYOUTS and TEMPLATES help users to develop professional presentations.

4. HEADERS and FOOTERS can include the date and slide number.

5. SLIDE NOTES enable the developer to include details

6. BACKGROUNDS and THEMES change the tex tcolours and background graphics on the slide.

   • NAVIGATION BUTTONS and HYPERLINKS allow users to select different pathways through the presentation. The user clicks on a link or button to move from one slide to another.
     • MASTER SLIDES contain items that appear on every slide. In the example, every slide has a ''home button'' that returns the user to the first slide.
       • You can PRINT slides in a variety of layouts for different users. Handout layouts shows 3 slides per page with a set of lines beside each slide for writting.
         • A SLIDE TRANSITION determines how the slide appears on screen, A TRANSITION SOUND plays as the slide enters the screen, The TRANSITION SPEED determines how quickly or slowly the slide arrives onto the screen, The TIMINGS and ADVANCE SLIDE options can play the presentation automatically or loop it.
