CRITICAL THINKING
  1. WHAT IS CRITICAL THINKING? Is the ability to think clearly and rationally about what to do or what to believe.
    1. CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS A person with critical thinking skills is able to do the following:
      1. Understand the logical connections between ideas.
        1. Identify, construct and evaluate arguments.
          1. detect inconsistencies and common mistakes in reasoning.
            1. Solve problems systematically.
              1. Dentify the relevance and importance of ideas.
                1. Reflect on the justification of one's own beliefs and values.
                2. IMPORTANCE OF CRITICAL THINKING. Critical thinking is important in:
                  1. Foundation the science and democracy.
                    1. The proper functioning of a democracy makes citizens think critically about social issues.
                    2. Promotes creativity
                      1. To come up with a creative solution to a problem.
                      2. Is crucial for self-reflection
                        1. To live a meaningful life and structure our lives accordingly, we need to justify and reflect on our values and decisions.
                        2. New knowledge economy
                          1. Improves language ability and presentation
                            1. Thinking clearly and systematically can improve the way we express our ideas.
                            2. Offers an ability to think clearly and rationally.
                            3. IMPROVE OUR THINKING SKILLS Critical thinking is a higher level cognitive ability that involves thinking about thinking.
                              1. Three critical components are needed to improve critical thinking skills.
                                1. THEORY
                                  1. If we want to think correctly, we must follow the correct rules of reasoning.
                                    1. The basic principles of critical thinking, such as the laws of logic, methods of scientific reasoning, etc.
                                    2. PRACTICE
                                      1. There are two ways of internalizing theoretical principles.
                                        1. One is to do a lot of good quality exercises like discussion and discussions with other people in everyday life
                                          1. The other method is to think more deeply about the principles we have acquired in the human mind, memory and understanding are acquired through the creation of connections between ideas.
                                        2. ATTITUDES
                                          1. The following attitudes are an obstacle to critical thinking
                                            1. I prefer being given the correct answers rather than figuring them out myself.
                                              1. I don't like to think a lot about my decisions as I rely only on gut feelings.
                                                1. I don't usually review the mistakes I have made.
                                                  1. I don't like to be criticized.
                                                    1. To improve our critical thinking we must recognize that reflecting on the reasons for belief and action is important
