1. Password

   • you need to use Alpha Numerical Mix.
     • Symbols.
     • Numbers.
     • Letters.
       • use Upper case to make the password more secure.
       • use Lower Case to make a password more secure.
   • You need to use 8 plus characters if over 12 years old.

2. Encryption

   • Encryption is used to scramble messages.
   • You Encrypt a message by using a cipher.
   • You decrypt a message by using a key.
   • You can tell if a website is using encryption by looking to see if it has a padlock and there word https://
   • Not all websites use encryption because some are free to use.
   • we use encryption in everyday life because whatsapp and banking websites etc use this encryption.

3. Firewall

   • This is a network system made to prevent unauthorized access to your files.
   • this is used when programming is trying to connect to another network.

4. Physical Security

   • This is made to protect personal hardware,software,networks and data from physical actions.

5. Anti Virus

   • This is a computer software used to detect and destroy viruses.
   • this needs to be updated regulary to check for the latest viruses to prevent them.
   • if you do not use anti-virus you could get worms,zombies and trojan horse.
   • If you do not use this you could end up with viruses such as zombies worms and trojan horse.
   • you need to update this regulary so it is up to date with the latest viruses and what they can do.
