1. Aesthetics​​

6. Function

   • This product transfers weight from the legs to the upper body. It is often used by people who cannot use their legs to support their weight
   • Maintanence
     • The rubber tips are there to provide traction on walking surfaces. These tips must always be in good working condition.
     • The handgrips are there to provide better gripping of the crutch and to provide cushioning. These should also be changed immediately when they are cracked or become uncomfortable to grasp.
     • The forearm pads also are there to provide comfort and to help prevent any nerve damage. Replacement is neededwhen they become split or uncomfortable.

8. Manufacture

   • aluminium hollow tube is made through a process called drawing, through which a highly heated starting billet (stock) is drawn through a die to reduce its diameter and stretch its length by applying high pressure
     • improves the dimension accuracy of the desired tube and its surface finish.
   • The arm cuffs, the hand grips as well as the rubber tips are manufactured through an injection moulding proces
     • machine can be mounted with different types of mould cavities for the different shapes desired of the parts to be made.
