C2 Promoting Children's learning:

1. Reggio Emilia

   • Encourages children to develop life skills
     • Can be seen through role play and the home corner.
   • Supports children's individual needs.
     • This can be seen through planning meetings and observations.
   • Encourages home learning and partnerships working between families and the setting.
     • This can be seen during parents meetings, learning journies and end of day diaries.

   • Supports families and the community
     • Can be seen through learning journies, parent meeting and end of day diaries
   • Supports confidence development
     • This can be seen during carpet time
   • Encourages inclusivity
     • This is seen through turn taking, sharing and displays.

3. Mildred Parton

   • Encourages children to play regularly with peers
     • In my setting we have regular free play sessions and encourage children to play together
   • Suggests child led and intiated play
     • We ensure that children are given space to do this and that we leave them to intiate play solo and as part of a group.
