1. Reflection (flip)

   • Lines of symmetry 2D
   • Reflection in a line
     • Image exactly the same size (Congruent)
     • Changes orientation
     • Lines are written as equations
   • Mirror Lines

2. Rotation (spin)

   • Around a point
     • Changes orientation
     • Image exactly the same size (Congruent)
     • Direction and angle
     • Points are written as Co-ordinates
   • Rotational symmetry
     • Around the centre
       • Order of rotational symmetry

3. Enlargement (dilation)

   • From a point (Centre of Enlargement)
     • Orientation only changes on negative enlargements
     • Scale factor
     • Centres written as Co-ordunate
   • Can Change size (Similarity)
     • Similar shapes have the same proportions and angles but can be larger or smaller
     • Angle sizes remain constant
   • Fractions Reduce
   • Numbers bigger than 1 Enlarge

4. Translation (slide)

   • Orientation never changes
   • Vectors
     • Top number moves across Bottom number up or down
   • Image exactly the same size (Congruent)
