   • A parabola is a curve where any point is at an equal distance from: a fixed point (the focus ), and a fixed straight line (the directrix )

2. What is the vertex of the parabola?

   • Where the parabola makes its sharpest turn

3. What is a parabola´s axis of symmetry?

   • The axis of symmetry (goes through the focus, at right angles to the directrix)

4. What is the equation of a parabola?

   • The "general" formula of a parabola's equation is y = ax2 + bx + c
