LEGO EV3 MINDSTORMS PROJECT

1. SENSORS

   • The EV3 Robots allow us to connect sensors to the robot to achieve certain things
   • The sensors we used for our project were touch and light(colour) sensors. although these are simple sensors they helped us achieve our task

2. ALL SENSOR TYPES

   • CRYO SENSOR -measures rotational motion
   • TOUCH SENSOR -detects when robot touches or collides with something
   • ULTRASONIC SENSOR -measures distance between robot and object -includes passive or active sonar
   • COLOUR SENSOR -detects up to 7 colours -detects absence of colours -detects light and intensity of light
   • INFRARED SENSOR -used to detect objects and proximity

3. ROBOTS

   • This term we had to create the same design robot from the Lego EV3 Mindstorms. The software for the robot allowed us to program it to do many different tasks of varying difficulty
