left brain wants to cling on to your own intrepreations ; leads to blindspots that my solution and approach is right

right brain is about diffused mode and getting real world inputs from outside;

so you can use the study groups as diffused mode to revisit the problem , solution and ensure your interpretation is right;

this allows you from having blindspots

Did you attempt to outline each homework question before discussing it with classmates?

Did you participate actively in homework group discussions?

Did you consult with the instructor/teach assistants when you were having trouble?

Test : hard problems or easy problems first?

Start with Hard problems ; it allows the diffused mode to set into work; do as much as you can; If you feel stuck, move to an easy problem;

this is called : hard stop - Jump to easy technique;

for answering multiple choice : answer without looking at the options;

for review : go from back to the front;
