Algebra 1 - Solving Multi Step Equations 8-3-2022
To solve multi step equations, you form a series of simpler equations. To do this, use the properties of equality, inverse operations, and properties of real numbers. You use the properties until you isolate the variable. Or you can use P.E.M.D.A.S (Parethises, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)
Algebra 1 - Solving with Equations with Variables 8-3-2022
To solve equations with variables on both sides, you can use the properties of equality and inverse operations to write a series of simpler equivalent equations. When there are variables on both sides of the equation decide what variable term to add or subtract to get the variable on one side only. When there are parenthises on both sides you distributive property to get rid of them.
Algebra 1 - Literal Equations and Formulas 8-5-2022
A literal equation is an equation hat involves two or more variable. When you work with literal equation, you can use the methods you have learned in this chapter to isolate any particular variable. Why we isolate the variable is so we can only isolate the y only once. Then add or subtract the x variable. If you substitute for x , first you must isolate they twice (once for each x-value). When a literal equation contains only variables treat the variables you are not solving for as constants.
