• I would like to give an example about Problem Based Learning

• Let's start with a problem

Andy and Martin are brothers

• They are alone this weekend at home. Their parents has gone to a short trip and they have to do the laundry today.

• But how? They don't know how to start the washing machine

• Andy thought for a while and came up with an idea. He is going to do some research on the net because he doesnt't want to do anything wrong

• Martin has an idea too. He thinks they should search for the house to find the user manual of the machine. That is a good idea. So they decided to think about their mother's rules.

• Where can she put the manual? They need to think together to find out. Andy says she always put some papers aside on the bookshelf into a folder. Martin says and the folder include other important documents as his mother told his father before. He heard them while they are talking

So the problem is solved!

• They could csll their mother in the first place but this is the best way to remember the steps next time when they try to start the machine again
