Descrição
Historically, Marxism has been among the most influential perspectives within sociology and when most people think of sociology they usually think of Karl Marx as one of the ‘Founding Fathers’ of the discipline. The writings of Marx are important to an understanding not only of the emergence of capitalist society but also the nature of contemporary society. This looks at some of the basic components of Marxist thought by examining some of his key ideas from the Communist Manifesto.
