Pharynx

The pharynx is a [blank_start]musculomembranous[blank_end] tube.

The pharynx extends from the [blank_start]base of the skull[blank_end] to the [blank_start]6th cervical vertebrae[blank_end].

The wall of the pharynx is compose of 4 layers: 1. [blank_start]mucous membrane[blank_end] 2. [blank_start]pharyngobasillar fascia[blank_end] 3. [blank_start]Muscles[blank_end] 4. [blank_start]Buccopharyngeal fascia[blank_end]

The inner fibrous coat of pharynx is called buccopharyngeal fascia.

All are the origin of superior constrictor muscle EXCEPT

The origin of superior constrictor muscle is the lower part of the medial surface of the medial pterygoid plate.

The origin of superior constrictor muscle is the anterior end of mylohyoid line of the mandible.

The superior constrictor muscle is inserted at [blank_start]pharyngeal tubercle[blank_end] and [blank_start]pharyngeal raphe[blank_end].

The origin of middle constrictor muscle are: 1. [blank_start]lower[blank_end] part of [blank_start]stylohyoid ligament[blank_end] 2. [blank_start]Lesser and greater horn[blank_end] of [blank_start]hyoid bone[blank_end]

The insertion of middle constrictor muscle is pharyngeal raphe.

The origin of inferior constrictor muscle: 1. [blank_start]Oblique line[blank_end] of [blank_start]thyroid cartilage[blank_end] 2. Side of [blank_start]cricoid cartilage[blank_end]
