• Reason #1 : Long time until one is predicted to hit earth
• Reason #2 : Rarely one causes damage if it even can get to the earths ground
• * Reason #3 : Scientists have built machines in case one does come to earth

Reason #1

• 
• There are predicted asteroids that scientists believe will hit earth for example scientists believe one could potentially hit us on September 22, 2135 and have the same impact as a current deployed arsenal of US nuclear ballistic missile
• NASA and all the people that study astrology all say that one will potentially hit the earth but not anytime soon.
• "The chance of an impact appears slim now , but the consequences will be dire. This study aims to help us shorten the response timeline when we do see a clear and present danger so we can have more options to deflect it . The ultimate goal is to protect life one earth." Says Kristen Howley , a physicist at Lawrence Liver more National Laboratory.

Reason#2

• About once a year, a car sized asteroid hits earths atmosphere, which makes an interesting fireball , and burns up before reaching the surface.
• Earths atmosphere is made out of 78% Nitrogen , 21% Oxygen , 0.9% Argon , 0.03% carbon along with some other elements.

Reason #3

• Scientists have made and have some ideas that they believe will help asteroids come off the path such ass...
• They have a machine called Osris-Rex that is used to gather samples from the feared asteroid in space called "Bennu" that could potentially destroy earth if it hits and that way scientists can know what the asteroid is like and how to move it away and off of earths path.
• They have an idea called nuclear missiles used to shoot at asteroids and blast the out of the sky.
• Their is a machine called the "Kinetic impactor" used to take an asteroid off its path towards earth.
• Their is a machine called the gravity tractor, the concept of it is to travel along an asteroid as a space craft and build up enough gravitational pull to change the asteroids path.
