Caste System

Social Levels of Caste System

•
• The caste told you what job you had, who you will marry, and with who you can eat or drink.
• Basically it told you what would you do all your life.
• Some say that Aryans created the system to control and separate everyone into group.
• Aryans thought that they were better because they had white skin.

How did it work?

• At the top there were the people that could only perform religious ceremonies.
• The second group ran the government and where in the army
• The third group had few rights
• At the last state there were the untouchable. They were separated from the group and they worked in dirty works, so whenever they got closer other should get away.
