King Lear Act 1 Scene 1 & 2

• King Lear and Gloucester are discussing how Lear will divide his Kingdom.
• Conversation changes when Kent asks Gloucester to Introduce his son, Edmund who is a bastard being raised away from home but never the less he loves his son dearly.
• Lear enters and tells how he will divide his Kingdom between his three daughters, he plans on giving up his responsibilities in government and spending his old age with his children.
