They are likely to emerge as leaders in teams, shortterm seen as effective leaders, overtime the undesirable characteristics may shine through - 3PsychopathyThe tendency for a lack of concern for others and a lack of guilt or remorse when their actions cause harm

- Deeper understanding of the leader side in the leadership process
- helps to watch out for what leaders not to select
- directs attention to interrelated patterns of destructive leader traits
Weaknesses:
- very limited research on dark side of leadership, not guided by theory, not useful for training and development
