Typically conducted from w/in PMO, an outside org or an individual or team responsible for consistent PM standards across an org.
They need to be conducted independently (avoid bias = trust), focus on comparing and contrasting PM process and documentation (ie: B/Case and PMP) against the org's published Standards. Intended as a support to ensure success.

Benefit Reviews in SGs is means the project measured/assessed if still on track for delivering the benefits outlined in the B/Case, or is drifting and need a course correct (ie: validate deviation under the CM process).
Opt: revert to Scope and manage expectations on the correction or
Opt: achieve CRM approval, update Scope (and all associated paperwork, ie:PMP) to inc approved deviation.
