Coronal- seperates front from back.

Medial or mid-sagittal- separates left and right through midline (navel).

Sagittal- seperates L and R.

Transverse- seperates upper and lower.

Superior/ cranial- near the head

Inferior/ caudal- near the feet.

Anterior/ ventral- near the front

Posterior/dorsal- near the back.

Lateral- far from the medial plane
