The memory stores data and instructions for running programs.

Old Memory

FERRITE MEMORY

THIN MEMORIES AND SILVER THREAD

The memory has a point ferrite ring

Static memory wiring routing RAM type

No volatile and Read-destructive

Has a thin magnetizable layer

matrix of wires connected to the transducers is established

The layer is deposited on a support thickness of about 10 - 4mm

RAM MEMORY

random access memory

loses its data when the computer is turned off

RAM memory types

DRAM

SRAM

VRAM

SIMM

DIMM

RAM Disk

RAM CACHE

dynamic random access menory

It is organized in memory addresses are replaced many times per second

Static Random Access Memory

It works faster, does not replace the instructions and the values stored in it

Is a special purpose memory used by video adapters

is a small printed circuit board

They are easy to install and are measured in bytes instead of bits

Usually uses a 168-pin connector

RAM is configured to simulate a hard disk

A static part of SRAM used as main memory

ROM MEMORY

read only memory

recorded in the manufacturing process with permanent information

ROM memory types

PROM

EPROM

EEPROM

type of ROM that can be programmed using a special process

is a ROM that can be erased and then reprogrammed completely

It can be erased by electrical impulses
