  1. 1What are the functions of the CPU?3 words that are key to the CPU
    1) FETCH
    2) DECODE
    3) EXECUTE
  2. 2What is the CPU?The CPU stands for 'central processing unit' and is the brain of the computer. The CPU looks in the cache for the data, gets that data and processes it.
  3. 3What is the benefit of having multiple cores in the CPU?A multi-core processor enhances performance, reduces power consumption and more efficient processing of tasks. Another benefit is that multiple cores can fetch, decode and process simultaneously
  4. 4What is the cache?Cache is the type of computer memory which can be accessed much faster than RAM, and it is what the CPU looks in to fetch the data and process it.
  5. 5Where does the CPU fetch fromThe CPU fetches from the cache, where the data that the CPU needs to process is located.
  6. 6What is clock speed? The speed of the clock determines the basic performance of the CPU. The clock speed is measured in cycles per second, which is also known as 1 Hertz. The faster the clock speed the more powerful and efficient the computer is.
  7. 7What levels of cache are there? There are 3 levels in the cache cores. Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Cache level 1 is a memory bank built up. Level 2 cache is secondary staging that that feeds into Level 1. Level 3 is the level that shares the information
  8. 8Order that the proccesses take placeOperating System to RAM to Control Unit (if involves inputs/outputs) to FETCH, DECODE EXECUTE, STORE to Register. Which is repeated.
  9. 9Cache and RAMCaches are typically static RAM(SRAM), while the main memory is generally some variety of dynamic RAM(DRAM)
