- 1MeanTo do the mean you have to add all the numbers and then divide by how many there are
E.g. 5,5,7,8,2,3
=5+5+7+8+2+3
=30
=30 divide by 6
=5 - 2MedianTo do the median you have to put the numbers in numerical order and then you divide by two
E.g. 2,4,5,6,7,8,2,3,5,4
=2,2,3,4,4,6,5,6,7,8
cross them out from the start and then you divide by two
=the middle value will be 6
=6 divided by two
=3 - 3ModeTo do the mode you will have a set of numbers and then what you will do is find out which number appears the most
E.g. 1,1,3,4,1,5,6,1
so if you look at this set of numbers the most common number would be 1 because it occurs more than once - 4RangeTo do the range what you will have to do is take the biggest number away from the smallest number
E.g. 14,23,34,12,10,2,1,2
so then the biggest number is 34 and the smallest number is 1 so then you are going to have to take 34 away from 1
=34-1
=33
