2.2 stages in a lesson planning

STAGES IN A LESSON PLANNING

1. Warm up/engagement activity: wakes the mind up helping students to "switch their language" and remember vocabulary.

2. Presentation/introduction: introduces the new topic to the class, it can be combined with the first stage. It also sets the objectives.

3. Study/presentation: introduces information and gives different activities based in a sprecific skill

4. Practice: it gives the opportunity to practice what was learned during the class. In this stage, learners are free to use new vocabulary.

5. Warm down/evaluation: In this stage teacher can make a short review of the class, emphasizing what was learned. at this point another good idea is give comments to ligthen the tension.
