Unresponsive infant airway obstruction

Introduce yourself to the parent and ask permission to help tell to call 911

Give two breaths, if first breath do not go in, re tilt and try again

If breath does not go in, lie on back and begin 30 compressions/2 breaths

Look in mouth for object

Pinky sweeep if object is seen

If no object is in mouth 30 compressions/ 2 breaths repeat steps

Responsive infant air way obstruction

Introduce yourself, ask permission to treat

Postion on forearm give 5 pats on the back

Flip on other forearm give 5 compressions and look in mouth

Look in infants mouth for object pinky sweep if there

Unresponsive adult/child airway obstruction

Call 9/11 tap check for pulse and breathing

2 breaths, if breaths dont go in. re tilt and try again

30 compressionsf

Finger sweep if item is seen, finger sweep. If not seen then 2 breaths

if breaths dont go in start compressions

Go until airway is cleared
