Covenant with Abraham

Ur was a city where people worshipped idols other than God.

Abraham tried to convince them otherwise but failed.

God told Abraham to leave Ur and head to Canaan (the promised land) and he will be made the father of many nations + given a son + given the promised land.

He left with his wife and a few family members to ''walk in God's ways''.

When he got there the covenant was sealed through circumcision and Abraham was given all he was promised and became the first Jew.

Canaan (modern day Israel) was now the Jewish Promised land.
