HYPOTHESIS TESTING

1. Null Hypothesis (Ho)

   • no change un parameter (equal)

2. Alternative Hypothesis (Ha\H1)

   • there is a change in parameter

3. Hypothesis are statements regarding the population, not sample. (P= population, M= average, sigma= std dev)

4. Error type 1= reject the null hypothesis when in fact it is true.

5. Error type 2= accept the null hypothesis when in fact it is false.
