1. CPU

   • Central Processing Unit
   • Brains of the computer
   • Processes everything such as instructions

2. Motherboard

   • Most Essential part of a computer system
   • Holds Together all of the components

3. GPU

   • Graphics Processing Unit
   • Gives image on a screen
   • Performs all of the graphics on the screen
   • The Graphics Processing Unit can be presented on video or card

4. RAM

   • Random Access Memory
   • All data is lost when turned off
   • Volatile
   • Can have up to 4GB on a MAC

5. cache

   • The cache is located inside the CPU
   • Hardware or Software Component
   • Stores data fore the future

6. Secondary Storage

   • CD's
   • DVD's
   • Non-Volatile Memory

7. Network Card

   • Network Interface Controller
   • Can connect ethernet cables to a computer
   • Most computers usually have a Network Card

8. Arithmetic Logic Unit

   • A unit in a computer which carries out Arithmeic and Logicical operations. Arithmetic is x + 5. Logical is x < 100
