Problem Solving and Algorithms
Algorithm: Sequence of instructions to solve a problem,
Obtain a description: There is the developer and the client, The developer creates the algorithm for the client to solve its problem.
- The client has to create a description of its problem, it is uncertain because the description can have deficiencies.
- Analyze the problem: Settle where the problem begins and ends.
- Develop a high-level algorithm: Is an algorithm that has a most part of the solution, but details are insufficient
- Refine the algorithm: Add details to the high level algorithm, its unknown how many information you have to add, it depends on the situation.
- Review the algorithm: Check the algorithm to determine if its solves our principal problem or not.
- State if your algorithm solves your specific problem or if it solves it in a general way. Determine if it can be simplified and if it has similarities to solve other problems. Also, you need to state the differences and an hypothesis.
- Every single detail of the algorithm, you can't miss anything, is the general idea in depth.
- Review the algorithm: Check the algorithm to determine if its solves our principal problem or not.
- This is easier because it's like a step by step, things like where you obtain the things, what you get and what you do with it. It is the general idea without specification.
- Refine the algorithm: Add details to the high level algorithm, its unknown how many information you have to add, it depends on the situation.
- Identify what has to be proven. After you got the starting point, you need to replan the information you have, the function, relations and rules. After that, you need to select the ending point. For this, you have to contemplate if the information will change in the future and if it will continue to exist.
- Develop a high-level algorithm: Is an algorithm that has a most part of the solution, but details are insufficient
