1. computer compnents

   • mother board used for everything to connect to it
   • cpu is the piece of equipment in the computer that carries out all of the instructions that the ram sends to it
   • ram stands for random accses memory and holds all of the memory that the computer is running but can be lost if the application is closed or turned off before it is saved
   • gpu is the graphics card in the computer sending all of the graphics the cpu is decoding to the monitor and putting it up on our screens

2. embedded system

   • embedded system when a little computer in something can only do one task
     • an example of this would be a washing machine where there are two embedded system one for the timer and one for dispensing the water
     • there's also a digital watch that only tells the time and that's what the embedded system
