1. Consist of collecting data by asking questions

2. Data can be collected by listening to individuals responses

3. The are four types

   • Structured interview
     • The questions, as well as their order, is already scheduled
       • Give more explanation to clarify your question
   • Semi-structured interview
     • Include a number of planned questions, but the interviewer has more freedom to modify the wording and the order
   • In-depth interview
     • Is less formal and the least structured
       • Is more appropriate to collect complex information
   • Focus group discussion
     • Is a structured discussion to stimulating conversations around one topic
       • Specific group or situation

4. Advantages and disadvantages

   • ADVANTAGES
     • Collect complete information with greater understanding.
   • DISADVENTAGES
     • Is a lot of qualitative data
