1. CPU performance

   • cache
     • If there is more cache available, more data can be stored and accessed quickly . This would speed up the performance of the CPU. The more cache there is, the more data can be stored closer to the CPU.
   • cores
     • Clock speed is the number of fde cycles a CPU can carry out per second. The higher the clock speed, the fast the performance of the computer will be

     • Cores can process data simultaneously. CPUs with multiple cores have more power to run multiple programs at the same time.

2. what is an embedded system?

   • A dedicated system which is part of a larger mechanical or electrical system
     • e.g. Washing machine controller, a digital camera, a smart phone

3. What is the fde cycle?

   • It is the method the CPU uses to execute programs.
     • The CPU fetches an instruction to be processed from the memory, decodes the instruction and then executes
