1. Types of DBs

   • Hierachical
     • Data is organised in a structure like a family tree
   • Network DBs
     • Similar to hierachical but must have one or more owners

2. Candidate Keys

   • Set of attributes that uniquely identify a table

3. Primary Keys

   • A unique identifier and table must have one PRI key

4. Foreign Keys

   • A PRI key that matches another table's PRI key

5. Descriptive Keys

   • Store business data

6. RDBMS

   • Specialised computer software that is used to create, access, control and manage a db
