Parent Class

1. Child Class

   • Contains the same attributes and methods as the Parent class
   • Methods can be overriden if they are public or protected and belong in the Parent class
   • Cannot affect private methods
   • Object of type Child class is also an object of Parent class
   • When placed first, Child class uses Parent class's constructor
   • When using the word super, it calls the Parent class's hidden members and overriden methods
     • Super is also used when getting the Parent class's other constructors, this doesn't have to be placed first.

2. Object of Parent Class is not always an object of the Child class
