Java Objects

1. Attributes or Fields: variables, can be primitive, or references to object

   • Follows camel convention naming
   • ex: age, maxAge, address, validAddress, numberOfRows

2. Methods or Actions: defines action that a class's object can do

   • Declaration part that consist of a return value/method name/list of arguments
   • Body contains code that performs the action
   • To declare method use the syntax: returnType methodName (listOfArguments)
   • ex- getSalary method that returns double: double getSalary

3. Java Classes: blueprints/templates, fundamental building blocks

   • Must include small name as class/have java extension; ex- employee.java
   • Object oriented programming tool that enables programmers to create the abstraction of a problem
   • Determines the kind of object you get back
   • class declaration must include the keyword class followed by a class name; class className
   • Uses the camel naming covention
