   • How many cycles a CPU performs per second
   • Ghz~ 1 billion cycles
     • Mhz~1 Million cycles
   • Khz~ 1 Thousand cycles
   • Hz~ I cycle

2. Cache

   • Programs will load faster
   • Can access frequently used data quicker
   • Hardware or software
   • Data stored in a cache might be the result of an earlier computation
   • Uses two media
   • To use the medium that is fast
   • Caching keeps frequently accessed objects
   • To keep blocks of data in memory, reducing slower requests from disk
