The Electron Cloud Model

1. An electron cloud is the area around the nucleus of an atom where the electrons are most likely to be found.

   • Electrons do not have well-defined orbits, they have random movements around the nucleus of the atom.
   • Atom's composition:
     • The word atom means that it is an indivisible particle.
       • An atom is formed by a small center, named nucleus where exist two diferent particuls: the protons (+) and the neutrons (0). Around the nucleus are the electrons (-) and because it has the same number of electrons and protons, it is an unbiased particle
         • The nucleus is very small when compared to the size of the eletronic cloud so, we can conclude that most of the atom is empty space.
