   • Computer software that act like a human expert on particular subject area

2. How do expert systems work?

   • This is made up of three parts
     • user interface
     • knowledge base
     • inference engine

3. Where are expert systems used?

   • Medical diagnosis
   • Strategy games
   • Financial advise
   • etc...

4. Can expert systems make mistakes?

   • Usually they don't, human do all the time
     • But they can some problems
       • cannot easily adapt
       • Can be difficult to use
       • They have no common sence
