How digital devices store data

How digital devices store data

1. Disk Drive

   • Saves the data by usingplatter, tracks, and sectors
     • Unlike RAM a disk drive will save the data until the user needs it.

2. RAM

   • When a user input data the data is stored onto the RAM
     • RAM is used only as a short term memory
       • When the computer shuts down, everything stored on RAM will be lost.

3. USB Flash Drive

   • Is a permanent and portable Storage Device
     • The Flash drive connects to the USB bus when incerted into the computer. This process allows the data to be stored on the flash drive to be trasfered to any computer
