1. "goint to" is used for plans

   • this is longer: the verb to be + going to + a verb in the infinitive is used. "I'm going to buy the tickets later."
     • To express future and planned actions. He's going to start a new job next month. (va a empezar un nuevo trabajo el mes que viene.)
       • To express certainty or intention regarding the near future. It's going to be a difficult cult meeting. (va a ser una reunión dificil.)

2. "will" is used for spontaneous decisions, forecasts and conditionals.

   • has its short form: I’ll, you’ll, he’ll, she’ll etc
     • With verbs that cannot be used in continuous tenses like know / like / understand, etc. will / shall is used to express future actions.
       • I will know the results tomorrow. (Sabré los resultados mañana.)
