1. Trojan

   • Disguises itself as a friendly, useful file
   • Often leaves a backdoor

2. Virus

   • Has the ability to self-replicate
   • attaches itself to another programs (e.g documents)
   • Modifies other programs and inserts its own code

3. Worm

   • A worm is standalone malware computer program that replicates itself in order to spread to other computers.
   • Spreads over networks using vulnerabilities in the network to its advantage
   • It will use this machine as a host to scan and infect other computers.
