   • Stretchy Plastics
     • Polymers with weak intermolecular forces between neighbouring polymer chains.
     • Can slide over each other.
   • Rigid Plastics
     • Carbon atoms in polymer chains are linked by strong covalent bonds.
     • Strong cross-links (covalent bonds) between polymer chains.
     • Have high melting points and cannot slide

4. Outdoor Polymers

   • Waterproof clothing stops water getting in
   • Breatheable clothing allows water vapour (sweat) out but doesn't let water in

5. Gore-tex contains PTFE, these layers have tiny pores. Water droplets are too big to pass through but water vapour from sweat can get out.
